Your Hands Are Not Big Enough

Came outside to take a break…reflecting and thinking about some things I’ve heard and read today. There’s a song my sister use to lead that said”Jesus when troubles burden me down…not only are we burden with our own cares but then our family and our friends add more to the weight we already carrying. Not to mention we stack on top of that jobs, finances, our communities and even we feel the burden of neighboring countries. Yes yes we should be concerned. Another line says Jesus that’s my King. If he’s your king then you know His word URGES us to cast our cares upon Him. 1 Peter 5:7 says Cast all your care upon him, for he careth for you. Psalm 55:22 tells us Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

I remember hearing my mom say if its not one thing its another….and sometimes it’s like that. Well I’d like to rewrite mom’s statement, if it’s not one thing it’s another but I’m not worried because I can cast my cares on Him and He’ll sustain me. Jump in that book of Psalms and you can just skim the first few verses of each Psalm. Look at how David continuously exalted the Lord even in his distress he said Lord I trust you. Even when he didn’t think he was listening or even heard his cry He said Lord I trust you.

Stop trying to carry your weight, your friend’s weight, and your families….you not that strong…that’s why in our weakness He is made strong. If you could do it there would be no need for Him. Amen!
Lay it all down and quit picking it back up…if he wanted you to walk around with all that He would have made your hands bigger. Go in peace….
